The Exorcist was pretty damn scary, but what are the chances of coming into contact with a 12 year old girl possessed by the Devil? Not too good. JAWS, my favorite movie ever, pretty suspenseful stuff. But as long as you stayed out of the water, you were pretty safe. Now Halloween is something else entirely. A movie that takes place in the safest looking suburb in America where a psychopath just happens to be stalking the neighborhood on the titular holiday wearing the scariest friggin' mask of all time.
This is a one of my favorite scenes. Laurie has just been attacked in the closet. She thinks she's killed The Shape.
