Statement

I regard myself as much as an explorer as I do an artist. I am interested in many disciplines and styles, which in the eyes of some of my critics as well as admirers, has earned me the dreaded title of "ecclectic" artist!
I am, however, currently working on a series of 12 oil paintings called "Study of Movement in Brown and Gray", where I am using figurative images cropped to emphasize positive and negative space. Although the forms are recognizably figurative, I regard these paintings as an exploration of purely abstract forms. If as a result of this new work I am beginning to develop a "recognizable" style, I assure you it is purely accidental and temporary.
