Statement

Our mission is to provide comprehensive music training to children and youth in Boston’s disadvantaged, inner city and neighboring communities. We believe that by exploring the world of singing, our members develop stronger leadership and teamwork skills, experience the power of self-esteem and self-discipline, and enjoy the beauty of artistic expression.
Boston City Singers (BCS) provides community-based music training and performance opportunities to Boston youth including a growing series of neighborhood-based training chorus programs (North Dorchester, Ashmont/Dorchester, South Boston, and Jamaica Plain) and a citywide Concert Chorus representing the talented youth of Boston in major citywide, regional, national and international performance settings
